Terms of Service
The rules for TinyDesk AI Lab — adults only, no public figures, obvious parody, no impersonation or defamation, personal non-commercial use, credits and refunds.
Last updated: October 31, 2026
These terms cover your use of tinydeskailab.com (“TinyDesk AI Lab”, “we”). They are short because the service is simple: you add photos, we make a parody video. By using the service you agree to them.
1. What the service is
TinyDesk AI Lab is an independent fan tool for making AI parody versions of the viral “Outstanding” desk-concert clip, for personal, non-commercial sharing. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band. Tiny Desk is a trademark of NPR.
The concert footage and the song “Outstanding” belong to their rights holders. Making a parody here doesn’t transfer any of those rights to you. When a rights holder asks us to remove something, we do — see our DMCA page.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy videos. You’re responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
3. Who can be in a video
- Adults only. Everyone in every photo you upload must be 18 or older. No photos of minors, even with a parent’s permission.
- No public figures. Don’t upload photos of celebrities, athletes, coaches, politicians or other public figures, or of anyone who hasn’t agreed to appear. No one under 18.
- Private people need to be in on it. Only upload photos of private individuals who would agree to appear — friends, family, coworkers who are in on the joke.
- No nudity, sexual content, violence or hate. We refuse photos and videos with that content.
You keep any rights you have in your photos. You let us store and process them, and send them to our video provider, only to make your video.
4. How you can use the videos
Allowed: personal, non-commercial parody — post it, send it to the group chat, play it at the party.
Not allowed:
- Presenting it as real — as genuine footage, a real performance, or something the person actually did or said.
- Impersonation or fraud — using a video to pose as someone, deceive, or get money or access.
- Defamation or harassment — using a real person’s likeness to make false and damaging claims about them, or to bully, threaten or humiliate them.
- Ads and endorsements — selling the video, using it in advertising, or suggesting that a person or brand endorses something.
- Political deception — content meant to mislead people about an election, candidate or public issue.
Label your video as a parody or AI-generated when you post it, and follow each platform’s rules. Platforms may mute or remove videos that use the song; that is between you and the platform.
5. AI results
The video model aims for a strong likeness of each photo, not an exact copy, and results depend on the photo. It may refuse some photos; a refused video returns its credit. If the faces don’t look right, our Refund Policy gives you a free re-render or a refund for that video.
6. Credits and payment
- Videos are paid for with credits from one-time packs, processed by Stripe. There is no subscription.
- Prices are shown before you pay. One video uses one credit, whether you fill one seat or five.
- Credits don’t expire, have no cash value and can’t be transferred, except as described in the Refund Policy.
- A failed render returns its credit automatically.
7. When we can say no
We may refuse to render a video, remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We also remove content when we receive a valid takedown notice or a request from someone who appears in a video without agreeing to it (see DMCA). Don’t reverse engineer, scrape or overload the service, bypass its limits or resell access to it.
8. No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
9. Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top; significant changes are announced on the site. Using the service after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@tinydeskailab.com.
