Free vs paid

Is there a free Tiny Desk AI generator?

Short answer — no. Putting a face into every shot of the Outstanding clip runs on paid AI video models, so every generator we know of charges for the render. Here is what you can do for free, what costs money, and what happens if a paid video goes wrong.

Why the render isn’t free

To make the Outstanding Tiny Desk AI video, an AI video model has to redraw a real person into each shot where their seat appears, frame by frame, while keeping the original moves. That runs on paid GPU time for every video, whoever makes it. A site that offers the full render free is either paying for it out of pocket for a while, cutting it down (lower resolution, fewer people, a watermark), or charging you later.

We would rather say the price up front: $9.99 a video, any 1 to 5 people, no watermark.

What you can do for free

FreeWhat it gets you
Build your band hereAdd photos to the five seats and see who goes where, before you pay anything
Watch the examplesThe original clip, the dogs version and our cuts, with sound
Read the guidesHow to make one, the template shot by shot, where the meme came from
CapCut templatesThe viral cuts and the song in the CapCut app — photos on top, not your face in the performance
Do it yourselfAny AI video model with a video-edit or reference mode. The software can be free to try, but full renders cost money, and you cut, stitch and re-add the song yourself — about an hour of work

What you pay for

  • The render: your faces in every shot where their seats appear, the rest of the clip unchanged.
  • The original song, mixed back in, in sync, plus a silent copy for when an app mutes it.
  • A 9:16 MP4, about 19 seconds, 720×1280, with no watermark.
PackPricePer video
1 video$9.99$9.99
3 videos$24.99$8.33
10 videos$59.99$6.00

One-time payment through Stripe. No subscription, nothing renews, credits don’t expire. Full details on pricing.

If it goes wrong, you don’t pay for it

  • Failed, refused or timed-out render: the credit comes back automatically.
  • Faces don’t look like the photos, or a shot is broken: free re-render or a full refund for that video, your choice, within 7 days.
  • Bought more than you used: unused videos are refundable within 14 days of purchase.

The full terms are in the refund policy.

What we don’t do

  • There’s no free render, and no watermarked trial.
  • You need a free account before you pay, so your videos have somewhere to live.
  • We don’t do 1080p. The source clip is 720p, so rendering it larger wouldn’t add real detail.
